Donald Trump clams that Lisa Murkowski will never recover from her vote against Brett Kavanaugh.

As an Alaskan, I beg to differ.

Courtesy of WaPo:

President Trump predicted Saturday that Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) “will never recover” politically for her vote against Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh as he celebrated his nominee’s ascension following an extraordinarily brutal confirmation process.

In a brief telephone interview with The Washington Post, Trump said voters in Alaska “will never forgive” Murkowski for voting against confirming Kavanaugh, and he forecast her defeat in a Republican primary should she run for reelection in 2022.

“I think she will never recover from this,” Trump said. “I think the people from Alaska will never forgive her for what she did.”

Here’s the thing. By the time 2020 rolls around Donald Trump will likely be impeached or at the very least voted out of office, and this country will be in a kind of group therapy attempting desperately to expunge the memory of his tainted presidency from our subconscious.

Lisa Murkowski voted the way that she did because she KNEW that voting for Kavanaugh would have been political suicide up here in the Great Land, and she is dead right.

The women of Alaska and the Alaska Native population despised Kavanaugh and would have never let her live down a yes vote if she had indeed folded like Susan Collins of Maine.

No, I would bet money that if Murkowski has a Republican challenger in 2020 that Brett Kavanaugh’s name never even comes up.

Nor Donald Trump’s for that matter.

Hear! Hear! Trump is clueless about we Alaskans. Lisa will remain our senator, but OHIO Dan will be thrown out on his ass.

May be if America was enlightened about what her father did concerning sexual assault, and how it went global, Mr. Trump might want to shut the fuck up. But he’s a Yapper. So there’s that.

‘By the time 2020 rolls around Donald Trump will likely be impeached or at the very least voted out of office, and ….’

It isn’t happening bud. Need to deal with the reality that is.

  4. Anonymous October 7, 2018 at 10:44 am

Well she didn’t actual vote NO did she, she voted present.Otherwise the vote would have been 50 to 49 !!!

    • Anonymous October 7, 2018 at 3:19 pm

EXACTLY! She did not vote for Kavanaughty and she didn’t vote against him. She used a loophole to abstain. She voted PRESENT. She says it was out of respect for the Republican senator that was attending his daughter’s wedding but that is a lot of crap. She did it to save her political ass.

      Three things need to happen.

First, both Collins and Flake need to be punished. They both said they would vote NO if Kavanaughy lied. Well, it didn’t need an FBI report to prove he committed perjury, he LIED under oath to the committee. They both voted to confirm. The broke their promise, went back on their word. Collins’ opponent will have $4 MILLION dollarts coming in to the 2020 election. McConnell says he’ll see the party puts Collins as number one priority for her re-election but I don’t see that happening. She’ll be tossed to the curb and they’ll support her challenger because he’ll be clean with no Kavnaughty, healthcare or tax bill baggage.

Second, as for Flake, if he thinks he’s going to run for President and that yes vote for Kavanaughty is going to save him he needs a reality check upside the head. He also went back on his word to vote NO if Kavanaughty lied, which he did. He’s anti-Trump so he can forget support from his party. And the majority of the American people did NOT want Kavanaughty. But 2020 the old Boofer will have been the deciding vote on enough shit raining down on the country that Flake will get his share of the blame for what he’s done. Sorry, Jeff, but no oval office for you.

Lastly. JOE MANCHIN. This asshole has to go. It serves no purpose to have a Democrat who votes with Republicans consistently. There is no argument that can be made when he votes Republican on all of the big crucial votes. Healthcare. Taxes. Every fucking Deplorable judge. So what good is he? Kick him to the curb and oust him from the party. Make him run as a Republican or an independent against a Democratic challenger. There must be a way for the Democratic Party to legally eject someone from the party. Manchin is top of my list as he is consistently fucking the Democrats. Oh, and he didn’t have to do it to win his re-election as he is safely ahead. There are vulnerable Democrats is much tighter races that voted against Kavanaughy. So Manchin is just a prick.

      • viv October 7, 2018 at 6:47 pm

        Yep, all three.

        1. I thought I’d misheard the other day when some guy said Susan Collins was 65. Why does she look 85 and does she have senile dementia? And isn’t it a shame that we couldn’t have kept Olympia Snowe instead?

        2. I don’t know that Flake has any basis for a presidential bid, given the reason for his resignation. With all those years in congress he should have enough connections for a lucrative sinecure somewhere, keeping his snout firmly in the trough like a good Republican.

        3. Folks keep saying the Republican running against Manchin is ten times worse but what’s the worst he can do, vote with Republicans on all their worst bills like Joe Manchin?

    • Anonymous October 7, 2018 at 3:32 pm

No. There was a Senator missing and Joe Manchin voted with the Republicans so it would have been 49/49 and Pence would have broken the tie. We needed not only a NO from Murkowski but also a NO from Collins and Flake in order to defend against Pence as a tie breaker. Both Collins and Flake said they would vote no if Kavanaughty liked. The Boofer lied and they still voted yes to confirm him, Manchin joined them and Murkowski voted “present” which isn’t a yes or a no, it’s nothing, null, zip, not even an abstention.

Another reason we need to take back the senate, turtlehead McConnell is going to change “his rule” about not confirming a supreme court judge in an election year.

McConnell Refuses To Say He Will Block Trump’s Nominees As Term Ends — Like He Did To Merrick Garland

    • Anonymous October 7, 2018 at 3:34 pm

And after the midterms Mitch will change the rules again that no longer majority rules, how there must be 2/3 again. Mitch will do anything to obstruct DEMOCRACY in this country. He wants a one party sytem and he wants to be the party KING.

  6. Old Redneck October 7, 2018 at 1:07 pm

Murkowski will be in the Senate when the Trump Crime Family is long gone and forgotten.

  7. Old Redneck October 7, 2018 at 1:13 pm

OMFG!!! Check out this entry on Sarah’s Instagram page.

Talk about exploiting an innocent child!!

Also — notice the slogan on Trig’s sweatshirt: “Homie with an extra chromie!” That is VILE. Just plain VILE, disrespectful, and ignorant. Yes, we all know Downs Syndrome is caused by chromosomal abnormalities. I guess the Palin clan thinks it’s cute to point out Trig’s condition. All they are doing is mocking the child. If they spent as much effort getting him special schooling as they do exploiting him . . .

    • Anonymous October 7, 2018 at 3:09 pm

“Homie with the chromie,” they have exploited forever, Old Redneck, they think it’s so cutesy that they buy bigger sizes.
They’re counting on folks like you to follow their every move. Seems it’s working!

A woman that names a DS baby Tri-G shouldn’t be permitted around children or animals.

      • amom October 8, 2018 at 5:03 am

And probably house plants, also and too.

I’m feeling tempted to send TriG a t shirt and a hoodie that has Trisomy G & Trisomy 21 on it = TriG: Homie with an extra chromie

LM will never lose a state election again.

  9. viv October 7, 2018 at 2:52 pm

Lisa Murkowski voted that way because Mitch McConnell was able to get enough votes to get the job done without her. That’s his concession to her proven ability to get elected without him. When her vote is crucial she will vote with him, she never goes against him. Her vote means squat. That’s why he is the leader.

Lisa doesn’t need to play to Alaska, Alaskans always reject good Democratic candidates- Mark Begich only squeaked in days after Ted Stevens was convicted and they couldn’t wait to replace him with Ohio Dan the Carpetbagger, the last of Sarah Palin’s AGs, with absolutely nothing to recommend him. In the US Senate he has continued his non-achieving, doing nothing more than enjoying his government salary and perks like he has done all his life- and you can be certain that Alaskans will reelect him.

Lisa Murkowski is a snake. Try asking her for an opinion before McConnell has finished crunching his numbers.

    • Lewsiffer October 7, 2018 at 5:17 pm

She did the same thing with the ACA bill. I voted for her last time because the alternative was way to heinous, but if anyone better comes along I’d not vote for her in 2022, but hey, that’s a long time off.

  10. Anon October 7, 2018 at 8:27 pm

Lisa Murkowski did the right thing and voted no, but then withdrew it for political sake. I kinda hoped that she would stand her ground under all circumstance and remained a NO vote. It must be known that brett barf is unfit and unqualified to sit on the bench at any level. She should have remained a NO vote. But trump? He should not even be allowed to nominate because he is a cheat and liar under investigation. He is a disgusting cheating foul dumbo liar.

  11. Nope October 7, 2018 at 9:57 pm

Trump won’t show his taxes because of an audit.
Yet he can nominate a supreme court pic while under investigation?

Wow – the math (on that one) is way worse in america than previously thought.
