Donald Trump blamed former White house counsel Don McGahn for the Mueller investigation.

Really, was HE the one colluding with Russia?

Courtesy of CNN:

Former White House Counsel Don McGahn ended his tumultuous tenure at the White House with one last encounter in which President Donald Trump blamed him for Robert Mueller’s appointment, sources close to McGahn tell CNN.

In a face-to-face Oval Office meeting, the President groused to McGahn about Mueller’s appointment made on McGahn’s watch as White House counsel, and the cloud the investigation has continued to cast over the presidency, the people familiar with the conversation said.

McGahn had decided it was time to go and he left before the background investigation was complete for the incoming White House counsel Pat Cipollone, one source familiar said.

“Typically you would have the incumbent stay until the successor was ready to take his place. But in this case, McGahn was tired of the President and the President was tired of McGahn.” The source added while the departure was “positive,” both men recognized it was time for McGahn to go. “He didn’t want to stay on and the President didn’t want him to stay.”

The President had surprised McGahn months ago in announcing McGahn’s planned departure on Twitter and surprised him again in announcing his successor in an Associated Press interview, so the final meeting fit with the deteriorated state of their relationship.

McGahn has cooperated extensively with special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe, participating in several interviews spanning 30 hours. The conversations unnerved Trump, who didn’t know the full extent of McGahn’s discussions, two people familiar with his thinking told CNN in August.

There is no way to really paint McGahn as the hero in all of this, remember he was the guy who encouraged Brett Kavanaugh to channel his inner Donald Trump during that Senate hearing.

However, it seems clear to me that at least McGahn was trying to give Trump good legal counsel.

Don’t forget that early on in the presidency that McGahn saved the Russia investigation by threatening to quit if Trump fired Robert Mueller.

Interesting that Trump has now blamed Jeff Sessions, James Comey, and now Don McGahn for the Russia investigation, but still refuses to acknowledge any fault of his own.

Somehow I think that when the Mueller report is released it will make it crystal clear who was really to blame for the launching of this investigation.

And it will NOT be James Comey, Jeff Sessions, or even Don McGahn.

Whenever he accuses anyone of anything, it is a sure-fire way to assume HE is the one doing it. So, IOW, the Orange Tiny Hands is the one who is guilty of colluding with the Russians.

O/T OK Track doesn’t have to go to jail. Yet. He got put in a vet treatment program. Aka API. Well if he throws a fit, they will send him to jail anyway.

He probably blamed Melania for getting knocked up, forgetting it was his mushroom headed cocktail weenie that had a small part in the conception.

trump has always blamed others for his mistakes and always gotten away with it. No exception this time. When he loses in 2020, he will find someone to blame it on also, the media blah blah.

What happened to Rudi Giuliani did little donnie have him knocked off?

I read the comments at the ADN and it seems like a lot of people want to know how they can get a dill on that colon whiteout tea Bristol is selling.

Also too the ‘Stool’s appearance on Teen Mom OB is yoogely popular!

It’s interesting that the article does not mention that the victim is the same person he assaulted a couple of years ago and that THEIR young child was present when he assaulted her this time. Boy, the Palins sure do get the “kid glove” treatment by both the Alaskan justice system and the media there. Given Track Palin’s recidivism problems, he’ll be back in court sooner rather than later if his “punishment” for his most recent attack is just more treatment for his supposed PTSD. His behavior is very unlikely to ever improve.

    Track Palin:

funny, this doesn’t sound liek on the way to prison, it’s a re-entry program – what kind of shit is Wallace pulling?

      Don’t be stupid!
