Donald Trump attacks his Attorney General for doing his job, which he sees as weakening the Republican’s chances in the midterms.

Holy shit, that’s crazy!

Of course, the investigations that Trump is referencing are those against Reps. Chris Collins (R-N.Y.) and Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.), both of whom were early supporters of Trump.

They are both very egregious cases of misconduct, with quite a lot of evidence to support both of them.

But in the eyes of Donald Trump, they are political inconveniences, which Sessions should shut down to help the GOP win in 2018.

Hey, remember how everybody got so upset at the idea that Trump asked James Comey to “go easy” on Michael Flynn?

Yeah, well this is even worse. And it is right out in the open.

That Trump, he’s quite the fellow isn’t h? He uses you and you think you are going to be his best buddy forever and then wham, when the shit hits the fan, you’re ass is grass. Sigh. To this day, I wonder how Trump was able to flip all the Republicans that were dead set against him prior to them joining him in such an adulating way. I say Putin factored into that somehow.

They got on board because he is a maleable puppet that will sign anything they put in front of him. The problem was, they didn’t forsee what a disaster he would become; golfing all the time, horrible tweets and sound bites. Unfortunately they own him now so they have to protect him to protect themselves. They can’t admit they made a mistake. So they double down and shield him from everything. But you can hear some of them failing to come out exactly supporting him, failing to use the words, side stepping or giving some mealy mouth anshwer. But rest assured, every one of them, including Sasse, will confirm that FAKE JUSTICE Kavanaugh. Even if Collins and Murkowski vote no Manchin and his DINOs will cancel them out and give the Republicans the majority. Pence will break any ties so were stuck with a 5-4 for decades. If Ginsburg or Breyer don’t last until January 2021 we will be totally screwed. Of course, we might stil see Kavanaugh impeached for perjury.

“A near-constant subject of withering presidential attacks was Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Trump told Porter that Sessions was a “traitor” for recusing himself from overseeing the Russia investigation, Woodward writes. Mocking Sessions’s accent, “This guy is mentally retarded. He’s this dumb Southerner. … He couldn’t even be a one-person country lawyer down in Alabama.””

    The HATCH~IT~man

Sen. Orrin Hatch sounded more like he was nominating Kavanaugh for sainthood than discussing a potential Supreme Court justice when he was interrupted by a health care protester and said, “.Anyone that knows you knows are you a decent person nominated to our land. So here are the facts, Judge Kavanaugh is one of the most distinguished judges. Mr. Chairman, I think we ought to have this loud mouth removed. I mean we shouldn’t have to put up with this kind of stuff. I hope she’s not a law student.”

In Bob Woodward’s new book that will be released on Sep 11, Trump refers to Sessions: “This guy is mentally retarded. He’s this dumb Southerner. … He couldn’t even be a one-person country lawyer down in Alabama.”

I’m 73; born and reared in rural south Mississippi; college in Alabama; married an Alabama girl; I’m a Southerner and an FDR New Deal Democrat. I just called a couple of my Alabama in-laws. I won’t quote what they said about Trump . . . Gryph would ban me if I did . . . they used words I’ve never heard before.

OT, but please read this amazing article on CNN:

Bob Woodward’s book is definitely going to be on my reading list!

“What Republicans are trying to hide by not releasing 102,000 pages of documents is that Brett Kavanaugh is out of step with the rest of the country. Kavanaugh isn’t a call it down the middle nominee. He is an extremist who will set progress back by decades on numerous issues if he is confirmed.”

“Sen. Blumenthal was correct. This is a sham process, that is an embarrassment to the US Senate. Keep in mind as you watch this insult unfold that, just like presidents, Supreme Court justices can also be impeached.”
