Well, we finally made it, we are now living under an oligarchy.
Courtesy of NYT:
After an extraordinary public campaign by President Trump and his allies, the Justice Department dropped its criminal case on Thursday against Michael T. Flynn, Mr. Trump’s first national security adviser.
Mr. Flynn had previously pleaded guilty twice to lying to F.B.I. agents about his conversations with a Russian diplomat during the presidential transition in late 2016.
The move was the latest example of Attorney General William P. Barr’s efforts to chisel away at the results of the Russia investigation. Documents that Mr. Flynn’s lawyers cited as evidence of prosecutorial misconduct were turned over as part of a review by an outside prosecutor whom Mr. Barr assigned to re-examine the case. Mr. Barr has cast doubt not only on some of the prosecutions in the investigation but also on its premise, assigning another independent prosecutor to scrutinize its origins.
The decision for the government to throw out a case after a defendant had already pleaded guilty was also highly unusual. Former prosecutors struggled to point to any precedent and portrayed the Justice Department’s justification as dubious.
Here is more from Slate:
The effort on behalf of the president by Barr and Shea to cover up already confessed crimes is a further step toward the complete corruption of the Department of Justice. The department was left reeling earlier this year when, after Trump’s urging, the same U.S. Attorney’s office changed its sentence recommendation for another Trump associate and felon, Roger Stone, prompting the public withdrawal of all of the attorneys previously working on the case. All that’s left, really, is for the department to start prosecuting Trump’s political enemies.
I would argue that those investigations into Trump’s political enemies have already begun.
With this act, Trump and his cronies have completely undermined America’s credibility around the world.
We can no longer call ourselves a country that respects the rule of law.
I think this is the first time that I have legitimately been concerned that Trump would not leave the White House when he loses the election.
Is this leading up to trump confessing to his crimes, getting convicted and his buddy Barr sets him free?
Biden is going to be very busy flushing all the trump criminals out of the government.
I am not worried trump won’t leave office after his landslide loss in NOV. We have ways to get rid of traitors and they may have to drag him out in handcuffs, but he will leave one way or another.
The undermining of American responsibility and trust began with the treasonous members of the Obama administration attempting to subvert a Presidential Election.
They are being exposed. Treason.
LOL, didn’t you tell us that yesterday?
You are a hoot !!!
Keep your head in the sand 1:19.
Dark days ahead for the traitors to this country.
Trump’s name is at the top of the list of traitors.

Michael Flynn did not serve a day in jail.
@ 3:36 sounds like Covid 19 is taking care of the traitors in the WH, slowly but surely.
Ok racist.
?
CliffsNotes on Michael Flynn:
Flynn has numerous dealing with the Russians. He was asked about his meeting with the Russians. Flynn admitted lying to the FBI, twice. Flynn was fired for lying to V.P. Pence. Trump asked the FBI Director to take a pass on prosecuting Flynn. Comey refused. He got fired. Trump bragged about Comey’s firing to the Russians in the Oval Office. Now Barr asks that all that be forgiven. Trump calls Putin to tell him that the Flynn thing has been taken care of and tells Putin there is more to come.
Now who’s the traitor here, numbskull?

Dunleavy withdrew from decision making on state finances last fall after the recall effort began to threaten his political survival. Since he began political distancing, Dunleavy has been all talking points, all the time, while the state’s financial condition has grown far worse than anyone had believed possible.
The decisions that he makes on state finances in the months ahead will do more than anything else to decide the fate of the recall campaign.

The politicians who claim flights of military aircraft are the ideal way to show respect for health care workers and first responders are glorifying weaponry over humanity.
Eielson is planning an F-35 flyover of Fairbanks and Anchorage May 15.
There is no need for celebratory flyovers in Alaska or anywhere else in the United States. A declaration that this is a time to mourn, reflect and strive to do better would be more to the point and far more patriotic.
For all of our military might and expensive hardware, our national security was destroyed without a shot being fired.
