I was actually thinking about giving tonight’s debate a miss, but I am fascinated by the prospect of watching Michael Bloomberg twist in the wind.
If you also want to watch tonight it is being broadcast on NBC.
The candidates that will be present on stage include Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar, Bloomberg, and Bernie Sanders.
According to the most recent polls Sanders currently leads the pack with Biden a distant second, and then Bloomberg and Warren, but let’s see if any of that changes after this debate.
As usual, I will update this post as new information becomes available.
Update: I agree with this comment 100%.
I don’t know how anyone could watch Warren filleting Bloomberg tonight and not want to see her onstage with Trump

Elizabeth Warren did not come to play, she came to win.
Update 2: Just Warren casually eviscerating Michael Bloomberg on the Democratic debate stage.
Elizabeth Warren: I’d like to talk about who we’re running against: A billionaire who calls women fat broads and horse faced lesbians, and no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump, I’m talking about Mayor Bloomberg.#DemDebate pic.twitter.com/cNhC6yRc4W

I think Bloomberg might need to leave the venue in a wheelchair.
Update 3: This matches my take as well.
Order, given their strategic needs and performance, on my fight card: 1. Liz, 2. Bernie, 3. Pete, 4. Joe, 5. Amy, 6. Mike

I think Elizabeth Warren needed to show her fire again, and she did that while giving Bloomberg third degree burns in the process.
Bloomberg looks extremely uncomfortable on that stage.
Damn!
Elizabeth Warren could not wait to knock Bloomberg’s knees out from under him.
I am beginning to think Warren could pound Trump verbally untilhe was reduced to only snorting.
Are you picking up on that too?
She… is not going to be the nominee dude. Acceptance is the key.
How dare you try to have a conversation with your betters.
Fuck off little troll it is probably time for you to masturbate to pictures of Donald Trump again.
Or is tonight Vladimir Putin’s turn?
LOL, who in the hell uses the word “dude” any longer HA HA
@ 5:49 that is why chicken little, bullies by twitter only donald trump will not show up for debates. He prefers the rallies because he can spout his LIES with no fact checking.
so they should give the air time to who ever the Democratic nominee is and let them talk directly to the American public
What lol? lolololol.
Donald Trump is supposed to show up for the Democratic primary debates? Is that what you are saying? Holy crap!
Bernie as usual is yelling. He needs a voice coach.
Oh, look, Biden IS awake now.
Bloomberg is running on arrogance, nothing else.
(NYC is not the center of the universe)
We already have a new yorker who thinks he’s the center of the universe.
The universe has no fixed center.
I don’t think Mike Bloomberg is coming off very well.
Bloomberg has the aire of a republican.
Because he is a Republican. And a very rich one. For some reason, that combination (GOP, rich and New Yorker) does not inspire me at all. I think that Bloomberg thinks that his money can have it all. Does anyone know anything about his stand on policies that matter?
I can not imagine why Bloomberg was so fired up to put his head in the guillotine like this.
Liz, here’s the “science” you are talking about “investing” in:
People buying more than they need, as an unending lifestyle!!
That IS the science.
There is no science, as if science is “something else” – ITS THE CONSUMING!!!!!
Whatever you are blathering about is incoherent. Try again, but we won’t be listening.
You paid attention obviously.
And you prefer homogeny apparently. Get on Amazon and buy shit, get your fix on. Is your grandma still a hoebag?
I think Bloomberg refusing to release past employees who made accusations of sexual harassment from their NDA’s may destroy his campaign.

‘I’ve been nice to some women.’
This debate is missing something:.
Marianne Williamson.
😳😂😂😂😂
Did Bloomberg just call fracking a “transition fuel?”
Ouch! That’s going to bite him in the ass.
None of them are saying to stop buying stuff. That’s the problem.
Stop manufacturing, stop buying, start loving.
99.9% will be online buying shit Tonite.
Looks like Marianne Williamson found you blog, Gryph. Need some loon spray?
Amy just said something huge – universal childcare!!!
Yes, but Warren proposed it first.
Hope they point out, it can be paid for by using the money that will NOT be used to support trump and his families life style, eliminating the golf outings will pay for most of it.
The top two, in no particular order – Pete and Amy.
Followed by Elizabeth
Then Biden.
Then Sanders
Then Fuckface. Oops. Bloombarf. Close enough.
Hahahahahaha hahahahahaha. Amy. Came off as a crankybitch. Hahahahahahahaha.
I bet you wouldn’t write that about a man, any man. As a woman I’m sick and tired of comments about female candidates that are purely misogynistic. Criticize the substance of something she said if you can but don’t whine about the woman speaking. How would you fare at a debate like this? Next, it will be some whining about her tone of voice?
Blah blah blah blah….. Queen of the Harpies! Queen of the Harpies!!
Nothing worse than annoying women.
Trump’s hecklers attack Biden!!!!
Well, that was bracing.
Elizabeth Warren supposed fighter for the common person is worth over 11 million. Just think about that for a bit.
What is your point? you have to be poor to fight for the poor?
Must be a Bernie bro huh?
Bernie and Jane stole that much from one college.
Pocahontas lied about and stole an ethnicity to get a job at a college.
She is still lying about it. She is a terrible liar. She knows shes lying. We know shes lying. She is a classic full of crap narcissistic liar.
So now it is revealed. The ONLY difference between Bloomberg and Trump is one of them is an actual Billionaire.
Bloomberg won’t release his taxes either.
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/bloomberg-tax-returns-debate_n_5e4df2a3c5b630e74c50142b
“Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg claimed that releasing his tax returns to the public would be complicated and take “a long time” during Wednesday’s ninth Democratic presidential primary debate in Las Vegas.
“It just takes us a long time. Unfortunately or fortunately, I make a lot of money and we do business all around the world and we are preparing it,” the billionaire, who is self-funding his presidential campaign, said when asked about making them public. “The number of pages will probably be in the thousands of pages. I can’t go to Turbo Tax.”
Bloomberg entered the race in November, months after his competitors had already begun their campaigns. In addition to not releasing his tax returns, Bloomberg has twice delayed filing a personal financial disclosure form with federal regulators, leaving details of his self-financed campaign hidden, potentially until after the critical Super Tuesday contests next month.
“We’re releasing them. They’ll be out in a couple of weeks. That’s as fast as we can do it,” Bloomberg said at the debate Wednesday.”
Really? Weeks? Like he didn’t see this coming? Who else promised that he’d release his tax returns? Oh, right. Donald Trump. Still waiting.
Bloomberg will NEVER be the Democratic nominee. Bet he reneges on his promise to use his money to defeat Trump even when he isn’t the nominee. I’ll bet the entitled asshole will run as a third party candidate just to spoil the Democratic chances.
Fucker.

I put my head down and charged ahead, bobbing and weaving as I went. “I’ll never forget walking onto the set of ”Hardball with Chris Matthews” when I was running for governor in 2013, ready to talk about the issues affecting New Jersey’s families. After years of watching Gov. Chris Christie (R) pursue policies that set the state’s residents back, I looked forward to letting viewers know how I’d be a different kind of leader. But right before the interview began, Matthews asked if he could call me “attractive.” When the cameras started rolling, I had to pretend I hadn’t just traveled to Washington, D.C., to experience the same objectification that was all too familiar to me at home in New Jersey.” – “I decided to write about my own experience, because refusal to do so would render me complicit in a system rooted in and perpetuated by misogyny.”

Sorry, but I hated that debate. As some of the TV commentators said, “The Democrats in the debate just formed a circular firing squad.”
