Chief of Staff John Kelly and National Security Adviser John Bolton engage in profanity laced shouting match outside Oval Office.

Don’t you hate it when the parents fight?

President Donald Trump’s chief of staff and his national security adviser engaged in a profanity-laced argument outside the Oval Office on Thursday, according to three people familiar with the episode.

The chief of staff, John Kelly, and the national security adviser, John Bolton, fought over immigration and border crossings, including the performance of the Homeland Security Department under Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, one person familiar with the matter said. She was at the White House for meetings on Thursday but not present for the argument, the person said.

Bolton criticized DHS, and Kelly defended Nielsen, a former deputy whom he supported to replace him at the department. Trump sided with Bolton, the person said, which may once again stir speculation that Kelly will soon depart the White House.

The clash is an indication that tension is flaring in the White House 19 days before midterm elections in which Republican control of Congress is at stake. The shouting match was so intense that other White House aides worried one of the two men might immediately resign. Neither of the men is resigning, the people said.

Sources say that Trump was well aware of the argument but denied knowing about it when asked while preparing to board Air Force One because, you know, lying is what this guy does.

I don’t know about anybody else but I would be willing to spend good money to watch a pay-per-view fight between these two.

I think that the smart money would be on Kelly to wipe the floor with old walrus lips.

You know I read that when the Titanic was about to sink into its icy grave that the folks still onboard began fighting like cats and dogs over the last life rafts.

I think what is happening now is very reminiscent of that catastrophe.

Now I despise all of these people but the worst of this is that they’re fighting over poor, desperate people who deserve our concern and our help. How many more families, still hoping desperately that the US is the answer to their problems, will be torn apart by the policies adopted by this administration. It’s clearly not that Kelly or Bolton or Nielsen or Trump or any of them care about these people or this country. Our president is an imbecile and those working for him are all trying to mimic his imbecility or maybe it’s just contagious but nothing in this scenario bodes well for the country or for the world. What a mess brought about by the GOP and their “deplorable” supporters since November 2016! Is there not a single person fit to govern or lead in the 21st-century GOP?

I don’t know. It needs to sink already.

Trump took Bolton’s side. The Flunky of staff will be out right after the midterms.

Speaking of out and in, Emmet Flood, Trump’s Russian investigation lawyer is filling in for the departed Don McGahn until his replacement arrives. And who is it? Pat Cipollone. What is his specialty? COMMERCIAL LITIGATION!

Probably because that’s all Trump knows. He just had his name removed from another building and his organization is suing the estate of the man who died in the fire in Trump tower. (Lest we forget, Trump worked hard to make sure he wasn’t required by law to include fire detection or a sprinkler system in his building. Probably considered it ugly, like that braille in the elevator.)
