Always new projects coming from these two.

Barack and Michelle Obama’s production company will start working with Spotify to produce podcasts, similar to its multi-year production deal with Netflix to produce TV shows and films.

The production company, Higher Ground, announced the Spotify partnership on Thursday. The Obamas will “develop, produce, and lend their voices to select podcasts, connecting them to listeners around the world on wide-ranging topics,” Higher Ground said.

“Lend their voices” means the former president and first lady will sometimes be heard on the new podcasts — but their primary role will be in the development and production phases.

The first podcasts from Higher Ground Audio are likely to debut in 2020 at the earliest. Higher Ground and Spotify said they would announce the specifics later.

I enjoy hearing anything about this couple and love that they are doing so much with this post-presidential stage of their lives.

I have tried to listen to podcasts and have just not been able to get into them.

But I have to say that if they featured the comforting inspirational voice of Barack Obama that might just do the trick.

    Gosh, it will be so nice to hear something inspirational instead of the crazy, nasty ranting by the current occupant of the WH.

    If you like audiobooks at all, I’m confident you could get into podcasts. There are so many now, with about every subject you could think of. You just need to find the right one. I prefer audiobooks, but podcasts are usually free. Check out Pod Save America, it’s a political podcast hosted by four guys who are former Obama admins.

    “in contrast to Ralph’s pattern of inventing various schemes to enhance his wealth or his pride. In each case, she sees the current one’s un-workability, but he becomes angry and ignores her advice
    (and by the end of the episode, her misgivings almost always are proven to have been well-founded). She has grown accustomed to his empty threats—such as
    “One of these days, POW!!! Right in the kisser!”, “BANG, ZOOM!” or “You’re going to the mOOn!”—to which she usually replies, “Ahhh, shaddap!””

    It was not a moniker they chose, but one given to them by the press: by outlets that regularly printed their legal names, though all five were underage; by tabloids that often failed to write “allegedly” when describing their charges; by papers that ran full-page ads from a playboy real estate developer with latent political ambitions, attacking them in huge black font: “BRING BACK THE DEATH PENALTY.”

    “when the media had been less humane: when columnists called them a “wolf pack,” and when {FUCKU}Pat Buchanan insisted that if only “the eldest of that wolf pack were tried, convicted and hanged in Central Park, by June 1, and the 13- and 14-year-olds were stripped, horsewhipped, and sent to prison, the park might soon be safe again for women.””<{RiiiggghhhttT}

    "“Korey [Wise] said it so well,” Salaam said. “He said, when Donald Trump took out that full-page ad, and put them in all of New York City’s newspapers, calling for our execution, he placed a bounty on our head.”

    “They had published our names, our phone numbers, and our addresses in New York City’s newspapers. Imagine the HORROR of that." – "we would become modern-day Emmett Tills."
    "As he spoke, Salaam took long pauses. At one point, an aide emerged with a fistful of tissues. “I’m not ashamed to cry in front of you,” “These are tears of pain. These are tears of joy. We are the heroes of this story.”"

    FYI

    Since Trump became president, he has now spent part of 181 days on a golf course — all but two of which have been on his own properties. That’s more than twice the days Obama spent golfing.
