Attorney General Bill Barr to spend $30,000 to hold holiday celebration at Trump’s DC hotel.

This takes ass-kissing to a whole new level.

Attorney General William P. Barr is planning a holiday treat for his boss.

Last month, Barr booked President Trump’s D.C. hotel for a 200-person holiday party in December that is likely to deliver Trump’s business more than $30,000 in revenue.

Barr signed a contract, a copy of which was obtained by The Washington Post, for a “Family Holiday Party” in the hotel’s Presidential Ballroom Dec. 8. The party will feature a buffet and a four-hour open bar for about 200 people.

Barr is paying for the event himself and chose the venue only after other hotels, including the Willard and the Mayflower, were booked, according to a Justice Department official. The official said the purpose of Barr’s party wasn’t to curry favor with the president.

Barr holds the bash annually, and it combines holiday festivities and a ceilidh, a party featuring Irish or Scottish music.

“Career ethics officials were consulted, and they determined that ethics rules did not prohibit him from hosting his annual party at the Trump hotel,” said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the party is not a Justice Department event.

I’m sorry if this happened in a Democratic administration the Republicans would be frothing at the mouth to get the AG fired and launch an intensive investigation that would make the government grind to a halt.

In Trump’s America this is just one more example of Trump’s disregard for the law, ethics, or just basic common sense.

Usually I would be upset, however they deserve a party at an trump resort, given the health violations in the kitchens etc, good luck, Hope they all get ptomaine food poisoning.

The corruption in this administration is unbelievable and trump has the audacity to whine he is losing money being president, well that is because he is a crappy businessman,he never divested himself of any of his holdings so if he is losing money it is all his fault, especially when he is overcharging the secret service and the taxpayers for ever little move he makes.

I want to know how much we paid for unnecessary renovations at his properties.

I call BS. 37,000 divided by 200 equals 185 per person.
Since when does anyone “party” like this at their level? At the holidays? Uh huh, it might cover the valet parking.
I doubt he’s paying for it s well.

Well, this is DC, home of the $6.50 cup of coffee, and I DON’T mean Starbucks. A friend of mine used to be a waiter at the Willard years ago: gent came in solo, waiting for his spouse for their date night. By the time she arrived, his tab was approaching $900. He’d had 2 apps, a cocktail and a 1/2 bottle of wine while he waited.

$30,000 is the revenue, not the cost of the party.

The FBI is studying two cameras that malfunctioned outside the jail cell where Jeffrey Epstein died while awaiting sex-trafficking charges
Epstein’s lawyers Reid Weingarten and Martin Weinberg told U.S. District Judge Richard Berman in Manhattan on Tuesday they had doubts about the New York City chief medical examiner’s conclusion that their client killed himself.
The cameras were sent to Quantico, Virginia, site of a major FBI crime lab where agents and forensic scientists analyze evidence.
The U.S. Justice Department declined comment. The FBI and Federal Bureau of Prisons did not respond to requests for comment. All are investigating his death. Lawyers for Epstein also did not respond to requests for comment.

Two malfunctioning cameras, two malfunctioning guards.

“Ethics rules did not prohibit him from hosting his annual party at the Trump hotel” because absolutely no one in that administration gives a shit about ethics. So it will never prohibit anyone doing anything. I’m sure Trump will have the next G7 summit hosted at his resort next year as well. All at taxpayer expense. For him to say he’s losing money as president is laughable.
