An organized crime boss liked Donald Trump?

Shocked, that’s what I am, shocked!

Nearly eight months after notorious Boston criminal James “Whitey” Bulger was found dead in federal prison, NBC News uncovered letters from the mob boss that detailed his failing health, his longtime girlfriend, and, notably, his praise for Donald Trump.

In several letters from prison, Bulger revealed that he enjoyed Trump’s contentious relationship with the press and railed against Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Bulger, who was murdered in October one day after being transferred to Hazelton federal penitentiary in West Virginia, was a mob leader-turned-FBI informant who was responsible for a myriad of crimes including murder, extortion, and money laundering. He spent 16 years on the run before he was captured and convicted.

“Trump is tough and fights back instead of bowing down to pressure—and caving in to press!” Bulger wrote in one letter. “U.S. agrees with him press attacking and his reaction increases his popularity—He has my vote so far.”

Bolger did not have such kind feelings toward Robert Mueller however:

Bulger was familiar with Mueller even before the Russia investigation. Mueller was an assistant US attorney in Boston and later became the FBI director when Bulger was an informant. “Trump is experiencing what Mueller and company can orchestrate,” he wrote. “[Mueller] should observe biblical saying – ‘Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.’”

According to NBC News Bolger was also a fan of conservative media types like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.

Criminals, dictators, racists, misogynists, morons, boy Trump really attracts the cream of the crop, doesn’t he?

“These are specific things President Trump did,” the congressman said. “These are criminal acts — obstruction of justice — clearly impeachable offenses. And so, it’s kind of rich to hear the president complain about this when he began a campaign with ‘lock her up’ as his bumpersticker and lead and effort to delegitimize the first African-American president.”

“I think those crimes might extend beyond what we’ve seen in the Mueller report. Using public office for personal gain for himself and for his family, the — the relationship that he has with — with Vladimir Putin, which has never been properly explained from the invitation as a candidate to have Russia involve itself in our elections, his efforts to obstruct justice, the fact that he called Vladimir Putin after the Mueller report was released, called it a hoax, thereby giving him a green light to further participate in our democracy and in our elections.

If we do not hold the president accountable we will have set the precedent that some people in this country, because of their position of power, are in fact above the law.”

OT?-FYI Police estimated the crowd at 240,000, but organizers said more than 1 million took part.

Personally I’m glad that Bulger got what he deserved in prison. He was a lifelong criminal and responsible for the deaths of many people. His Trump worship was the icing on the cake and I’m glad his killers saved the taxpayers the cost of feeding and housing him any longer.

Manafort being moved to Rikers. Like Dahmer, one hour out solitary, “we saw nothing” security.
    I’m good with it
