Wait, what?

Ministers had urged caution ahead of hospitality venues reopening in England after three months of lockdown

The Metropolitan Police said “a small number” of premises closed early following advice from officers due to crowding, but the force added that there were “no significant issues” in the capital.

Devon and Cornwall Police received more than 1,000 reports, most of which were “drink-related”

In north Nottinghamshire, four people were arrested and several pubs decided to close after alcohol related anti-social behaviour.

But Mr. Apter, from the Police Federation, an association for police staff in England and Wales, said: “What was crystal clear is that drunk people can’t/won’t socially distance.

“It was a busy night but the shift managed to cope. I know other areas have had issues with officers being assaulted.”

I think that is really the crux of the problem all over the world.

People might be perfectly willing to follow the rules individually, but get them into larger crowds where mob mentality reigns, introduce some intoxicating beverages and the next thing you have is a maskless Bacchanalia.

I think most people really want to make smart healthy decisions when it comes to the Coronavirus, but get them liquored up, and not only have they somehow misplaced their mask but they have also misplaced several articles of clothing.

I think that this is one of the reasons that bars and pubs should be the LAST places to reopen, and only after the country, state, or city they are in have seen new cases of the virus start to decline in a consistent manner.

As the officer states drunk people simply do not social distance or respect mask-wearing, and that puts ALL of us in jeopardy.
