An incident that has become all too commonplace.

Courtesy of The Kansas City Star:

A 3-year-old boy accidentally shot himself in south Kansas City and died from his injuries Friday afternoon, police said in a news release.

Police said they were called to a home in the 11300 block of Calico Drive after 12:30 p.m. in regard to the shooting.

While responding to the call, police learned the child had a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital by his mother.

The boy was pronounced dead at the hospital. His identity has not been released.

No matter how many times this happens, no matter how many innocent lives are lost, people are still incapable of understanding that bringing guns into the home puts everybody at risk.

“They’re killing them OUTSIDE the womb!”
      Why yes, yes they are.

“Eubanks, who was shot twice by the two Columbine gunmen who were students at the school and who saw his best friend die before his eyes, battled an opioid addiction for years after the massacre. He became a public speaker on addiction recovery after becoming sober in 2011.

Doctors had prescribed Eubanks an assortment of pills, including opiates, for the injuries he sustained during the shooting and, as he told WTHR-TV in April, “almost immediately, I started medicating that underlying emotional pain.””

“Trayvon Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, is launching a campaign to become a Miami-Dade County commissioner, she announced Saturday. “

Does Bristol lock up her guns? She does have all those kids and all.

Unlike other IMers, I couldn’t give a flying **** what Bristol does.

I hope that the gun owner is charged in this child’s death. Leaving loaded guns around a house where children can reach them is not an “accident.” It is or certainly should be criminal.

      THANK you, Beaglemom.

    Kids love those guns.

Thank god Atlee reads newspapers instead of trying to force an identity through guns.

Time to put some laws in place.

When this happens, both parents are sterilized and any remaining children are taken from them, never to be returned to their custody.
